I guess I do like logo print

As long as it's on sneakers?

I went outlet shopping last month and decided, again, that I don't care for the Coach logo print.  I have no logical reason for not liking it, I just don't.  I prefer their plain bags with the discreet little hanging tag.  I was actually carrying a Coach bag that day but since there was no logo even my sisters didn't know.

Saturday...all of that changed!  I was at TJ Maxx and these just called to me.  They are not my usual style in any way, but they had to come home with me along with a pair of peep toes that I'll share another time.  So cute!!!

Family Easter

When I don't have to sing, I spend Easter weekend with my family in Delware.  I play my annual 9 holes of golf with the family and go outlet shopping with my sisters when our parents play a round of a real golf with my brother-in-law. We hit the casino (aka: an ego boost almost as good as buffet restaurants!) took a walk down by the boardwalk and did lots of reading, eating and even watched some of the Masters.  You have to love a man with a pink driver, congrats Bubba!
The newest addition

This year the shopping highlight was the Kate Spade outlet with purchases at Banana Republic, Nike and Crocs.  Erin recommended some new running pants I tried out today and love.  She's a great runner so I wasn't surprised that she was right about the new pants.  :)

And some more highlights from our weekend away.

Tour of West Point?

Unintentional, but yes, I took a lovely drive through West Point today.  I was heading to the commissary and PX but made a wrong turn (and anyone who knows me is NOT surprised) and I ended up driving around a bit before making it back to where I needed to be.  I was amazed, as always, how beautiful the base (campus?) is.  The houses are nestled into the mountain and the castle like buildings remind me of Hogwarts in different places.  It's so picturesque...until you are driving through the academic area, accidentally, during a change of classes and are surrounded by cadets all rushing to get to lunch!

I did some great shopping and got Sarge new shower shoes as requested.  I also picked up the scratch boxes that Hazel looooves and I can only find on post.  I got a few deals on groceries and picked up some stuff for lunches.  I hear that I'll be eating on the run this year so I am planning to keep some healthy, quick and easy snacks in my office and fridge.  Fruit in juices, whole grain crackers, 100 calorie packs and jello cups...that kind of stuff.

Now it's time to finish the cleaning and laundry before the Wilsons arrive for the weekend.  I love my nephew but I also know if I don't vacuum and clean well he will find, and either eat or pick up and bring to me, every little thing out of place.  He really is a cutie-pie and I'm glad for the motivation!

New boots!

So, I actually got bored yesterday.  All I have wanted for a week was a full day at home and when it arrived I couldn't motivate myself to do ANYTHING.  Today I made up for that entirely by doing 2 loads of laundry, going to the gym and spending quality time with Karin.

Quality time with K usually involves shopping because I live near a ginormous mall and she doesn't.  We spent about 2 hours walking around, chatting and spending money.  I bought a totally hot pair of boots that are completely inappropriate in July.  They are gorgeous, grey, knee high, leather, wedge boots and I LOVE them!  They were more than 50% so that was my justification for buying them today, along with my need for retail therapy.  Pics to follow tomorrow, tonight is girls night!
